This is a great recipe that I modified from the Manitoba Harvest website. I have substituted hemp protein for the hemp hearts, adding more protein to the pesto, giving you more bang for your buck.
Ingredients
- 6 Brazil nuts
- 4 tbsp Hemp Pro 70
- 2 1/2 cups of Fresh basil
- 1/4 cup Hemp oil
- Juice from half a lemon
- 1 clove garlic
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Mix ingredients well. Keeps in fridge for 5 days. Serve with whole grain or rice crackers/pita chips, for a delicious and healthy appetizer option. You can also use this to mix through some pasta as a quick side dish or as a spread for a sandwich. This recipe serves 4 people
