Basic Blended Salad Recipe

Blended salads are great to incorporate in your meal plan. They are quick to make, they can be quick to eat and wonderful if you are in a hurry.

They are full of nutrition and you can use any vegetable you like with the focus on lots of healthy leafy greens and then some.

For your basic Blended Salad Recipe put into your blender

  • two or three  plum tomatoes or a 1/2 cup carrot chunks
  • half a large cucumber
  •  a stalk of celery
  • 1/4 avocado

and blend

Add any kind of the following greens

  •  spinach, romaine, iceberg, baby greens, Boston or any other type of lettuce.

Blend until liquefied and serve or become creative and add some crunch in the form of some chopped vegetables like:

  •  tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, sweet peppers, sweet potatoes, carrots, sprouts.

You can also add things like some nuts and seeds

To spice things up use herbs and spices, but be careful if you use fresh herbs, they have a strong flavour, so start slow.
