Steel Cut Oats Muesli

This is a great tasting and filling breakfast food.  I love to play with this recipe as you can make all kinds of substitutions to change the flavour or with regards to food allergies as you can substitute seeds for any of the nuts. You may also leave out the dried fruits and only use fresh or frozen fruits.

You can also take advantage of different sales and make this recipe a little cheaper because of that. If you like this kind of breakfast make sure to buy some of these ingredients when they come on sale and put them in the freezer till you are ready to put this recipe together

  • 6 cups steel cut oats
  • 1 cup ground nuts (almonds, cashews, pecans, walnuts or a combination of these)
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 3/4 cup cranberries
  • 1 cup unsweetened schredded coconut
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon

In a large bowl mix all ingredients together, stirring them well.
